Where and why do hemrrhoids occur?

Hemorrhoids occur in the anal canal, which extends from the rectum to the opening of the anus.  The blood vessels there become enlarged when subjected to either constant or intermittent pressure which can be caused by straining during bowel movements, overweight, pregnancy, or strenuous physical exertion.  Chronic constipation can also lead to hemorrhoid disease.

With C02 Laser, your hemorrhoids can be treated during a regular office visit. It requires no fasting or special diet. Local anesthesia is provided for patient comfort.
